As part of the National Law Fest 2025 (Chapter II) organised by Bangladesh University of Professionals, the Semifinal round of the National Moot Competition was held during 12-14 September. Over the course of these three days, approximately 400 students from universities across the country participated in various competitive sessions, including debates, advocacy presentations, and panel discussions. Barrister Shyikh Mahdi, Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, acted as an adjudicator for the Semifinal round. Teams presented oral arguments, addressed challenging legal issues, and responded to questions from the bench, demonstrating analytical rigor, clarity of reasoning, and persuasive advocacy.

The Festival provided a platform for law students to engage practically with the law: sharpening legal research, courtroom-style argumentation, public speaking, and critical thinking. Distinguished judges — approximately fifty in number — guided the event and helped ensure high standards. BSS+1

At the closing ceremony on 14 September, awards were presented to winners in various categories, recognising excellence in advocacy, analytical skill, and legal reasoning. Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman, present as the chief guest, praised the initiative for nurturing young legal talent, while BUP Vice Chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam emphasised how such forums are essential in preparing future practitioners of law.
