The cross-examination of the former Chief of Army General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan (Rtd.) has been completed in the ICT case against Major General (retd) Ziaul Ahsan.
This case relates to alleged crimes against humanity, including hundreds of enforced disappearances and killings, during the period of the Awami League government. The tribunal has now set March 9, 2026, for the next witness or further testimony in the trial. The defence questioned Iqbal Karim over four days, and both the prosecution and defence lawyers participated in the process.
