Private University National Association of Bangladesh visits ICT Prosecution

A delegation from the Private University National Association of Bangladesh (PUNAB) team formally met with the Prosecution Team of the International Crimes Tribunal. The meeting primarily focused on discussions regarding the ongoing judicial process related to the July genocide, the progress of various cases concerning enforced disappearances, and the potential ways in which PUNAB may contribute to and support future judicial activities.

The Prosecution Team highlighted key aspects of their extensive experience, ongoing challenges, and the progress of the cases. Alongside this, both parties exchanged information regarding mutual cooperation and coordination, and discussed future possibilities in their efforts to ensure justice.

Present at the meeting were the Vice President and senior members of PUNAB and Mr. Javed Arafat, Advisor to PUNAB’s Chattogram Zone. From ICT Prosecution, Mr. Tazul Islam, Chief Prosecutor; Prosecutor Mr. Shyikh Mahdi; Prosecutor Mr. S. M. Tasmirul Islam; Prosecutor Mr. Tarek Abdullah were present.
