Manarat International University recently hosted a seminar titled ‘Prospects and Challenges for the Trial at the International Crimes Tribunal, Bangladesh’. The seminar was organized by the Law Department at the university’s permanent campus in Ashulia.
The seminar discussed the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT), crimes against humanity, the July genocide trial, people’s aspirations for the tribunal, and strategies for getting justice for the victims. Barrister Shyikh Mahdi, Prosecutor of the Bangladesh International Crimes Tribunal, was present as the main discussant in the seminar.
